Things are starting to hot up now with just one week remaining in the transfer market, and Wolves have work to do.
With the club having suffered four Premier League defeats in a row, calls are loud for Wolves to strengthen – especially in defence.
It was claimed earlier today that Wolves had made a bid for Kevin Danso of Lens.
But Wolves’ bid for Danso was swiftly rejected.
Today it’s also been claimed that Wolves are keeping tabs on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is plying his trade at Besiktas these days.
In the last couple of hours, another interesting suggestion regarding Wolves has been made.
Wolves interested in Axel Disasi transfer, but he could be joining Aston Villa
It remains to be seen if Wolves will make another go of signing Danso after the rejected bid.
He’s a player Wolves have liked for a long time, and the Austria international seems like a player who could really bolster that backline.
But there’s clearly work to be done there, and it could be that Wolves ultimately look elsewhere.
An interesting claim has been made this evening by journalist Ben Jacobs that Wolves actually like Axel Disasi from Chelsea.
But Aston Villa have actually already agreed personal terms with the player, making this a potentially difficult deal to do for Wolves.
Jacobs said on X earlier: “Axel Disasi has agreed personal terms with Aston Villa, as @FabrizioRomano called. Club-to-club talks ongoing. Chelsea open to different formulas.
“Can also reveal Disasi is on Wolves’ radar and multiple European clubs. #CFC and Disasi assessing options.”
Wolves face big challenge to sign Disasi
This is an interesting claim by Jacobs and one to keep an eye on in the coming days.
Disasi has not played much this season for Chelsea. He’s made 17 appearances but most of his opportunities have come in the UEFA Conference League. He’s turned out just six times in the Premier League.

Pass accuracy – 90.8% |
Percentage of dribblers tackled – 54.5% |
Aerial duel win rate – 71.4% |
Yellow/red card – 3/0 |
Disasi has agreed on personal terms with Aston Villa, but seemingly there is not yet an agreement between them and Chelsea, which gives Wolves a chance to get involved.
One would imagine Wolves would be able to offer more regular game time.
Disasi has played at centre-back and right-back for Chelsea since joining the club for £38 million (Sky Sports) from AS Monaco, and that might suggest him as being a good fit to play on the right of a back three for Wolves.
