Plymouth Argyle will be sweating on a blow to Brendan Galloway after he came off 26 minutes into Zimbabwe’s clash with Namibia.
Plymouth Argyle saw a number of their players called up for international duty ahead of the ongoing break.
Among them was defender Galloway, who earned a place in the latest Zimbabwe national squad. The former Everton and Luton Town man started and played all 90 minutes in a clash with Namibia last week as his country won 1-0.
However, in the second clash against the country yesterday, Galloway only lasted 26 minutes.
The Plymouth Argyle man had to be replaced by Teenage Hadebe early on as Zimbabwe went on to win 3-1. There are no details about the blow suffered by Galloway yet but his club are sure to be sweating over the latest developments.
With the international fixtures now done, it will be assumed that the next steps are for the 28-year-old to return to Home Park for further assessment and details will emerge ahead of the weekend.

Galloway’s injury history
Galloway has had some tough times with injury over the course of his career and time with Plymouth Argyle.
His start to last season was delayed until November by injury but he stayed free of issues for the second half of the campaign and became a regular in the side. Mainly operating as a left-sided centre-back, he played 29 times under Steven Schumacher, Ian Foster and Neil Dewsnip.
The Harare-born defender hasn’t found starts quite as frequently under Rooney, starting the first three games and none since. Galloway has been an unused sub in the last three games but remains a reliable player to have available.
Fingers crossed
While Galloway might not have been a regular starter of late, it will be hoped his injury is not a long-term one. He has managed to stay free of injuries for nearly a year and it has helped him become a more important player at Plymouth Argyle.
He offers a valuable versatility on the left-hand side and will be out to break back into Rooney’s side.
