Swansea City still have Cyrus Christie training with them but Adam Reach is no longer with the club, Luke Williams has confirmed.
Swansea City were able to add some few faces in the summer transfer window but the door has not been shut on the possibility of signing players during the season either.
There are some areas of Williams’ squad that are perhaps lacking a little bit of depth. A way to plug those gaps is by dipping into the free transfer market.
It emerged earlier this month that two players were due to train with the Swans during the international break. Those were Cyrus Christie and Adam Reach, but little has been said on either player since.
That is no longer the case though, with Swansea City boss Williams sharing the latest.
As quoted by BBC Sport, the manager confirmed that while former West Brom man Reach is no longer in South Wales, former Swans loan ace Christie is still onboard. A further update will be issued when there are new developments, Williams said.
“Adam Reach is not training with us anymore,” he revealed.
“It was great to have him with us, but we have moved on from there.
Looking to earn a deal
Reach will now be waiting on his next opportunity to earn a contract after being let go by West Brom in the summer but Christie is still in with a chance of landing a deal with Swansea City it seems.
The 32-year-old played regularly in the Championship as recently as last season, playing _ games for Hull City as they fought for a place in the play-offs. His action was restricted in 2024 by injury and competition for a starting role, but he showed he can still perform at this level.
He would offer the Swans another option on the right as a wing-back or full-back. Christie has even spent a short amount of time covering at centre-back before.

Looking to find form
Swansea City currently sit around the mid-table pack in the Championship and will be out to get some wins on the board in a bid to thrust themselves into the play-off conversation.
It feels like spaces are up for grabs at the business end of the table but improvements are needed. More potency is a must up top and while Christie won’t offer that as a defender, his signing could still prove helpful.
Time will tell whether Christie can land a deal and if he can play a part in trying to push the Swans forward.
