West Bromwich Albion has officially announced the departure of Serbian midfielder Uroš Račić after a season of mixed performances at The Hawthorns. Račić joined the Baggies on loan from Valencia last summer, but after evaluating his contributions and the club’s future plans, both parties have agreed to part ways.
During his time at West Brom, Račić made a total of 32 appearances, contributing significantly in the midfield but ultimately struggled to secure a consistent starting position within the squad. With the club’s ambitions to push for promotion to the Premier League, the decision was made to allow the talented midfielder to seek opportunities elsewhere.
In a statement released by the club, a West Brom spokesman said, “We thank Uroš for his hard work and commitment during his time at the club. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and hope he finds success in the next phase of his career.”
Račić expressed his gratitude towards West Brom and its fans on social media, saying, “I want to thank the club, my teammates, and the amazing fans for their support during my time here. This was a valuable experience for me, and I will carry these memories with me as I move forward.”
As Račić heads back to Spain, it remains to be seen where his next destination will be. Several clubs are reportedly interested in securing the services of the promising midfielder, who has earned a reputation for his technical skills and vision on the pitch.
West Bromwich Albion will now look to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window, aiming to build a competitive team as they continue their quest for promotion back to the Premier League.
Fans will be eagerly awaiting updates on both Račić’s future and the club’s recruitment strategies in the coming weeks.
