Argyle’s recent appointment of Cleverley, who managed Watford for over a season in the Championship, shows the lofty ambitions boasted by the Devon outfit.
Meanwhile, Wiredu has proven his versatility in Fleetwood colors, predominantly playing as a defender but also displaying his comfort in a midfield role.
Even though the Lancashire side finished mid-table in League Two last term, the former Charlton man showed his class and scored two goals from defense.
According to FotMob, Wiredu enjoyed an impressive pass accuracy of 82.4 percent in the fourth tier last season, showcasing his quality in possession.
The Fleetwood man also proved his tenacity by winning 64.2 percent of his duels.
Cleverley faces an ambitious quest in trying to guide Plymouth back to the Championship, but Wiredu’s signature could prove to be a valuable one.
