Alex Mowatt has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for September.

The Baggies midfielder played in all three of the club’s fixtures in the ninth month of 2024, scoring three goals.

The 29-year-old netted a brilliant brace in Carlos Corberán’s side’s 3-0 triumph at Portsmouth and fired home Albion’s second goal in their 3-2 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

 

Mowatt also played 90 minutes in the middle of the park when the Baggies defeated Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at The Hawthorns.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan, Blackburn Rovers defender Danny Batth and Norwich City winger Borja Sainz are also in the running.

The judging panel includes Sky Sports’ Don Goodman, EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies. The winner is set to be announced on Friday, October 11.
