The Romanian national anthem was sung before the University of Craiova – CFR Cluj
Before the start of the derby between Craiova University and CFR Cluj, the Romanian national anthem was sung at the “Ion Oblemenco” stadium, on the occasion of the National Day.
The moment came just one day away from the events of Dinamo – Sepsi 1-1.
At the match on the “Arcul de Triumf” it was forbidden to sing the national anthem of Romania, just a few hours before December 1st.
Romania’s national anthem, banned at Dinamo – Sepsi
According to GOLAZO.ro sources , a violinist was supposed to sing the national anthem before the game, given the fact that there are only a few hours left until the national day.
However, at the technical meeting, the people of Bucharest clashed with the decision of the officials, who decided not to allow this moment.
The Dynamo players claim that, as it is a match with Sepsi OSK, they were told that this action can be considered incitement.
According to Law no. 75/1994 regarding the hoisting of the Romanian flag, the singing of the national anthem and the use of seals with the coat of arms of Romania by public authorities and institutions, the anthem is sung in the following situations:
- at official national festivities and ceremonies, on the occasion of National Anthem Day, as well as at official ceremonies of an international nature;
- at the opening and closing of Radio Romania and Televiziunea Română stations, in vocal interpretation;
- on the occasion of the visits undertaken in Romania by heads of state and government;
- during military ceremonies, according to military regulations;
- on stadiums and other sports bases, on the occasion of official international sports competitions in which Romania is represented;
- in stadiums and other sports bases, on the occasion of official national level sports competitions only at the final of a competition or, as the case may be, at the final tournament, for all age categories;
- at the opening of each session of the Chambers of Parliament; at the beginning of the daily schedule in primary and secondary schools.
