Dan Șucu, summoned by the son of Adrian Păunescu with 1,000,000 euros! The owner of Rapid is involved in a 4.15 million euro case

Andrei Păunescu is in an open conflict with FC Rapid , after the club from Giulesti used his father’s lyrics for commercial purposes, but without having copyright over them.

Although initially everything seemed to be something that could be resolved amicably, things were not at all like that, and the trial is about to begin. FC Rapid is not the only entity targeted by Andrei Păunescu, alongside the club patronized by Dan Șucu, there are also Romfilatelia or Metrorex.

The first exposition of the process, which has as its object “copyrights and related rights”, will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at the 4th Civil Section of the Bucharest Court. The file seems to be a well-prepared one, it has several commercialized items, such as scarves, scarves, wine bottles, but also the receipts received following the purchase of the products.

“If something was taken from your home, wouldn’t you report it to the authorities?”

Andrei Păunescu claims that FC rapid can use the anthem without any problem, but for commercial purposes. Moreover, in the case of the products, his father’s name was not even mentioned.

“Before I started the trial, none of the parties I sued sought me out, although they knew my plans. Thus, I decided to go ahead, to go to court. If something were taken from your home, wouldn’t you report it to the authorities? Something was stolen from my house! It’s intellectual theft!

One is the song, in the sense that it is not a problem and can be sung freely. But when lyrics appear for commercial purposes, on wine bottles, on scarves, on trains, without anyone asking you, I don’t think it’s normal. My father’s name was associated with alcohol, with gambling, matters with which he had nothing to do.

Even at this moment, I do not exclude negotiations from the start, but it should be noted that the facts were done in the year of the centenary, 2023, when massive sales of promotional products took place, being an emotional moment. This without my father’s name being even mentioned somewhere, as if they were verses collected from folklore, not written by him, in 1979″ , said Andrei Păunescu according to estaru.ro .

Andrei Păunescu requests 4.15 million euros

The main culprit in the case of the file prepared by Andrei Păunescu would be Bogdan Vasiliu. The latter would have stated that CS Rapid has access to the copyrights, in order to then allow the partners to use the well-known verses composed by Adrian Păunescu.

Bogdan Vasiliu was recently placed under judicial control . The prosecutors accuse the businessman of having received the sum of 200,000 euros to “resolve” some lease contracts for some locations owned by CS Rapid.

Andrei Păunescu requests no less than 4.15 million euros in the process that will start on December 10. The entities concerned are the following:

  • FC Rapid – 1,000,000 euros
  • Vinicola Averești 2000 SA – 1,000,000 euros
  • Romfilatelia SA – 200,000 euros
  • CS Rapid – 500,000 euros
  • Superbet – 500,000 euros
  • The National Railway Passenger Transport Company or Mobexpert – 500,000 euros
  • Metrorex – 200,000 euros
  • Dante International SA – 100,000 euros
  • Stargift SRL – 50,000 euros
