'Done or still thinking" - Nasser Al-Khelaifi remains silent when questioned about the latest developments regarding Manchester United's takeover

In June, reports surfaced suggesting that the Glazers reached out to Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, in an effort to encourage Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani to step up his offer to acquire Manchester United.

After the General Assembly in Berlin, the Qatari took questions from British press; he is also chairman of the European Clubs’ Association (ECA).

The topic of the Man United takeover update naturally came up during his conversation with the reporters, but Al-Khelaifi steadfastly refused to divulge any information.

When asked about the situation at the Old Trafford club, the PSG executive said, “I’m the chairman of the ECA.”

Earlier in the summer, he denied being involved in conversations about selling the Red Devils to Sheikh Jassim. When the topic was brought up again, he showed little interest in playing ball.

Since the purchasers have insisted that the sellers have not responded to them, there has been little progress on the acquisition.

Nevertheless, earlier this week, the club’s share worth dropped by over £600 million due to allegations that the Glazers have removed Manchester United from the market.
