Everton defender Michael Keane’s injury status has been updated by his doctor.

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist.

Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton…

Everton defender Michael Keane is expected to be fit and available for selection ahead of the Burnley game on Saturday, 16 December, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The England international may be coming into the team in place of the suspended Jarrad Branthwaite for the game against Burnley.

However, Sean Dyche is yet to fully confirm that he will be available for the Premier League clash.

exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

There’s no reason for Dyche to be bullish if he wasn’t available.

I think he will be in contention and whether or not he’s picked will be down to Dyche

“He’ll obviously have to undergo a fitness test on Friday or early on

There will certainly be rustiness but it’s a positive sign for them with one of their centre-backs missing the game.“

The other option for the Toffees will be Ben Godfrey but he’s not featured in the Premier League, barring a one-minute appearance

Keane, while he’s got more minutes under his belt,

is still to return to full training so it’s going to be touch and go.

This is a must-win relegation six pointer for the Toffees and it remains to be seen who Dyche ends up picking for the contest.

In other Everton news, a journalist issued a

“Huge embarrassment” for Farhad Moshiri claim amid the club’s recent takeover development.
