Everton want to sign Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp, who’s also wanted by West Ham, Leicester, Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town and Southampton, according to HITC.
Spurs are open to letting the 23-year-old leave the club who’s expected to join a new club before the 30 August deadline.
It’s understood that the North London outfit are in talks for a sale which would total up to £25million.
Oliver Skipp could be a decent addition to the Everton side
Skipp could prove to be a decent acquisition for the Toffees due to his unique skill set that aligns well with the team’s needs.
His ability to connect the midfield to the attack with precise passing and his knack for evading pressure make him an asset in building play from the back.
Despite his time at Tottenham where he was often underutilised or played out of position, Skipp has shown he can thrive in the right system.
His experience in the Premier League where he’s made 77 appearances, coupled with his understanding of game phases, allows him to position himself effectively, making him a natural fit for the Toffees’ midfield.
Moreover, his age means he still has room for growth and adaptation, potentially under a manager like Sean Dyche who could utilise his deep-lying playmaking abilities.
