Everton handed major Yankuba Minteh boost as new transfer edges closer

Bojang, the agent of Everton target Yankuba Minteh has claimed that terms have already been agreed with one club this summer.

He admits that it’s now down to the Magpies to see if they receive a suitable offer for the 19-year-old attacker.

The Toffees are understood to be stepping up their interest in the £30m-rated Gambia international, per the Daily Mail, and this deal could see Dominic Calvert-Lewin going the other way, helping both sides with PSR.

Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter to write: “Yankuba Minteh’s agent Bojang confirms his imminent exit from Newcastle: ‘We have agreed terms with one club. Now the rest is with Newcastle’.

‘It is correct that Newcastle are willing to sell the player if they receive a good offer’, told @ChronicleNUFC.”

Everton need to act quickly as there will be other clubs lurking as well

The Toffees must act quickly to secure the signing of Minteh as there will be other clubs keen on signing the talented 19-year-old attacker.

Minteh’s agent has confirmed that terms have already been agreed with one club, indicating the Gambia international is likely to leave St James’ Park this summer.

With the Gambian valued at around £30million, Everton will need to move swiftly to ensure they are not beaten to the punch by another interested party.

Signing him would be a smart move by the club, as it would help them strengthen their squad while also aiding their efforts to comply with PSR provided Calvert-Lewin goes the other way.

However, they cannot afford to dither, as other clubs are sure to be monitoring the situation closely.

It remains to be seen if the exciting 19-year-old is seen dazzling at Goodison Park next season or he seals a move elsewhere.
