Everton have made an offer to sign Manchester City defender Issa Kabore this summer, according to AfricaFoot.
Writing on their website (19 June), the news outlet reports that the Toffees have made a bid to sign the Burkina Faso international permanently after his loan spell at Luton in 2023/24, where he made 24 appearances in the Premier League.
The player is open to the move as he knows his chances of breaking into the City first-team are slim, and Sean Dyche’s side have made an offer worth £10.9m to beat Ajax to his signature and seal a deal quickly.
Everton want to sign Issa Kabore
On paper, it seems like a bit of an odd transfer for Everton, because right-back is hardly a position that they’re lacking in options at.
Seamus Coleman recently signed a new contract while Ashley Young has confirmed he is close to doing the same. Nathan Patterson and Ben Godfrey have also played there during the most recent campaign, meaning they are stacked for options.
But the reality is that Patterson could move on for more regular football after his spat with Dyche in Portugal, and Godfrey is entering the final 12 months of his deal and could move on too.

Sean Dyche will want new signings at Everton this summer.
Relying on two players who are way past their prime for the entire season would be a huge risk and that then makes the Kabore move much more sensible, so it’s certainly one to watch.
The club are targeting younger players with sell-on value and Kabore fits that criteria, so the Blues could be about to welcome a new right-back into their squad.
