Everton’s three-man January signing plan revealed

Everton have set a three-man January signing plan to bolster their squad, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the new ownership will try to make funds available for Sean Dyche in the upcoming transfer window.

Full-back is an area that is seen as a priority for the Merseyside club, while Dyche would ideally like to bring in another striker too.

The Everton boss also wants to sign a winger to add more creativity and goals to his team for the second half of the season.

A lot of this will come down to financial fair play and profit and sustainability rules as to whether or not the club can spend any money.

The Merseyside club were careful throughout the summer transfer window to ensure they avoided a points deduction, and that will need to be the case again in January.

Everton will have cash to spend in January

The Friedkin Group have reached an agreement over the terms of the sale of Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake at the club.

Even though the final details are still going through before this can be made official, Everton’s expected new owners are aiming to inject cash straight away.

Dyche wants to improve his attacking options as a priority, especially as the long-term future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin is up in the air.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at Goodison Park next summer and could leave on a free transfer if a new deal isn’t agreed.

Football Insider revealed that the striker is reluctant to commit to a new deal and is looking to keep his options open at the moment.
