Stoke City have unveiled their new home kit for the 2024/25 season and the ninth made in collaboration with Macron.
Macron replaced New Balance to make Stoke strips in 2016 and have now gone on to have the longest partnership of its kind in the club’s history. The contract being extended beyond this summer means it surpasses the deal that the Potters had with Asics through the mid-1990s up to the turn of the century.
The designs have largely been well received and, importantly, have been delivered on time and with a decent quality. That has not always been the case since replica shirts started being sold more than 40 years ago.
YOU WHAT? Port Vale poke fun at Stoke kit launch
‘KING OF STOKE’: Bae Junho opens up on learning to swear and settling in England
There have been occasional misses, like fireman-style yellow-tipped tracksuit bottoms in 2020/21 when players forced a mid-season change to plain, but supporters have generally given the thumbs up to the latest effort, which has been modelled by Bae Junho, Million Manhoef and Co in a launch at Gladstone Pottery Museum. There’s a flavour here..
Alex Hernandes-Barber: Looks good. I will buy this one. First one in a while where there’s an actual change as such..
Lianne May Wilshaw: I love it.
Dylan Davies: New kit looks ace.
David Johnson: Like it, looks good.
Vicki Williamson: Love it! Ordered it for my sons 10th birthday.
Gary O’Sullivan: Glad they’ve added a bit of black. It’s been a bit the same in the last few years.
Craig Eccleston: Great kit, love it.
Madeline Rose: Badge should be over the heart. other than that looks quite nice.
George Clowes: Bottle kilns in the stripes is a very nice touch.
Fred Badger: The kit don’t matter, it’s the bloke wearing it that counts.
So here we’ve gone back through the Stoke kits in the Macron era. Which is your favourite and which should be consigned to the back of the wardrobe? Have your say in the comments section.
