Juventus are working on offloading several underperforming first-team stars, among which is ex-Everton flop Moise Kean. According to Alfredo Pedulla, Bologna and Fiorentina could offer the Italian striker an escape route from Turin while there’s an alternative road to Saudi Arabia.
Kean failed to make a name for himself in the Premier League after swapping Juventus for Everton in 2019. Following a season-long loan spell at Paris Saint-Germain in 2020/21, he returned to Serie A in 2021, re-joining the Bianconeri on a two-year loan deal.
Juventus signed him permanently in 2023. But they’ve soon come to regret that decision. Kean’s problems with inconsistent performances and recurring injury setbacks have derailed his second stint at the Allianz Stadium, resulting in the club putting him on the chopping block.
Fiorentina contacted Juventus to ask about Kean’s availability in January before landing Andrea Belotti on a short-term loan. However, the Italian is heading back to Roma. His return to the capital leaves La Viola short of reliable center-forward options.
But the Tuscan outfit would have to outfox Bologna to acquire the Juventus outcast. With Joshua Zirkzee on the cusp of leaving the club, new boss Vincenzo Italiano could turn to his old target to fill the vacancy ahead of the Rossoblu’s maiden Champions League campaign.
Kean’s contract at Juventus runs out next summer. Therefore, he’ll be available at a reasonable price. But his future may not necessarily be in Serie A. A move to the Saudi Pro League is also on the cards, with the Bianconeri looking to replace him with Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
