Caitlin Clark is fresh off a wildly impressive WNBA campaign with the Indiana Fever that saw her win Rookie of the Year, and it seems like everyone has taken note of her strong play. Even though the Fever were bounced quickly in the playoffs by the Connecticut Sun, Clark immediately proved herself to be one of the biggest stars in the game in just her first season in the league by posting some huge numbers (19.2 PPG, 8.4 APG, 5.7 RPG, 41.7 FG%).
While Clark hasn’t gotten a warm reception from everyone in the WNBA, she does appear to have the support of former NBA Rookie of the Year winner Scottie Barnes. The Toronto Raptors star shared on social media that he had bought a pair of Clark jerseys after seeing all her success with the Fever.
In a way, Barnes understands the trials and tribulations that Clark just endured during her first pro season, so it’s awesome to see him supporting her by snagging these jerseys.
With the NBA season getting underway soon, it wouldn’t necessarily be a surprise to see Barnes wear one of these Clark jerseys as he arrives for some of the Raptors games this year.
As Barnes progression early in his career with the Raptors shows, Clark is bound to continue proving in the WNBA for the Fever, and he will be looking to build off of his impressive All-Star campaign with Toronto in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
