Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has opened up on his future at the King Power Stadium amid interest from Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea.

Under Enzo MarescaLeicester City made an immediate return to the Premier League and will be back in the big time next season but will be without the Argentine manager.

After Chelsea decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino, those at Stamford Bridge made the decision to appoint Maresca and the Argentine is set to lead the West London club into a rebuild.

Steve Cooper has been appointed as the new Leicester City manager but the future of key midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall remains up in the air.

Dewsbury Hall responds to rumours amid swap talk

Last season for the Foxes, the midfielder made 49 appearances in all competitions for the Midlands club last term, scoring 12 goals, as they returned to the top flight at the first time of asking.

HITC understands that Brighton & Hove Albion were interested in the midfielder back in January and are indeed ready to reignite their interest in the 25-year-old.

Sources have told HITC that talks have indeed taken place and the Foxes are understood to be preparing themselves for a bid from those at the AMEX Stadium.

One player the Seagulls are understood to be discussing sending to the Foxes in a player plus cash deal is Polish midfielder Jakub Moder, who made 17 appearances for Brighton but failed to score or assist in that time.

Despite Brighton willing to offer a player in the deal, sources tell HITC that Dewsbury-Hall is aware of interest from Chelsea and no deal has been agreed yet with Brighton.

HITC has been informed that the West London club would like to offer Leicester players of their own to try and sweeten the deal to sign the midfielder but no offer has been made as of yet.

Brighton aren’t the only team who are understood to be interested with the aforementioned Chelsea keen as well as Aston VillaTottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United keen.

“I have been here since I was a kid,” he told the BBC. “I love everything about the club. I grew up and managed to play in the first team.

“I am happy. I have never said I am actively wanting to leave. That sort of stuff is not up to me. You never know with football – the season is about to start, so we will see.”

Dewsbury- Hall full of praise for Maresca amid interest from Chelsea

When asked by the BBC about Maresca and what he was like to work under, Dewsbury-Hall was very complimentary of the Argentine.

“Enzo was an unbelievable manager,” he continued. “I genuinely see him becoming a top manager, so it wasn’t a surprise to see he was in demand.

“It is weird having to change a manager after being so successful, but that’s football.”

Sources confirm that Maresca has encouraged Chelsea to pursue a deal for the 25-year-old Englishman but the Blues were already keen on Dewsbury-Hall before the Argentine’s appointment.

Chelsea and Leicester have a very good relationship having done the deal for Maresca but also Italian midfielder Cesare Casedei spent last season on loan at the Foxes.
