Marc Roca, a former midfielder for Leeds United, has recently been quoted as saying that he was encouraged to leave the team this summer by a couple of his teammates.

In the course of a lengthy interview with the Spanish news site Marca, Roca was speaking.

To add insult to injury, Roca added in the interview that Junior Firpo and Joel Robles were of the opinion that it would be beneficial to go back to Spain.

Both players were quite complimentary of their previous club, Real Betis, and they assured Roca that he would not be sorry for making the transfer.

“I spoke with Junior and Joel, who were with me at Leeds,” Roca added. “I was there with them.”

They advised me not to give it any thought and assured me that I would be feeling very at ease.

“Everything was discussed with me, including the coach, the coaching staff, the locker room, the city, and everything else.

When it comes down to it, the fact that individuals who are extremely close to you are encouraging you is a positive thing.
