Manchester United head to the south coast on Saturday afternoon as they get their Premier League campaign back underway
Manchester United have been handed the dreaded 12.30pm Saturday kick off on the first weekend back after an international break as they head to the south coast to take on newly-promoted Southampton.
The Red Devils got their 2024-25 season off to the perfect start, as they recorded a 1-0 win over Fulham at Old Trafford with summer signing Joshua Zirkzee grabbing the only goal of the game. However, things have not gone to plan in the last two games as Erik ten Hag’s side lost 2-1 at Brighton and Hove Albion before a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of rivals Liverpool.
A long away trip with an early 12.30pm kick off is not ideal on their return to action but Ten Hag will be aiming to pick up a second win of the season against the Saints, who are yet to earn a single point from their opening three games. They are only kept off the bottom by Everton, who have an inferior goal difference. As both sides prepare to return to domestic action, we have rounded up the latest injury news from both camps ahead of the clash.
