Rangers are set to secure the services of AS Far striker Hamza Igamane and an announcement could be made as early as Monday, 24 June, according to Football Scotland.
The news outlet reported on 23 June that the Morocco under-23s international is expected to be the fifth summer signing at Ibrox.
Gers have already sealed the permanent transfers of Oscar Cortes, Jefte, Clinton Nsiala and Connor Barron this summer.
Rangers need to add another four or five signings that will strengthen the first-team
Gers desperately need a top-class striker like Lawrence Shankland to improve their goalscoring threat.
Last season, they lacked a consistent, prolific goalscorer, which hindered their title challenge.
Shankland’s excellent form for Hearts suggests he could be the answer to their attacking woes.
In addition, Rangers require a long-term replacement for captain James Tavernier at right-back.
The Englishman is 32 and cannot go on forever and finding a quality young right-back to learn from Tavernier before eventually taking over is crucial for the club’s future.
The midfield also needs strengthening following the departures of John Lundstram and Ryan Jack.
Gers require energetic, dynamic midfielders to control games and provide a link between defence and attack.

Signing at least one, if not two, quality midfielders in spite of Barron’s arrival is essential to replace the experience and quality lost with Lundstram and Jack’s exits and Steven Davis’ retirement.
