There would be no chance of Inter Milan selling midfielder Kristjan Asllani to Fiorentina this summer transfer window.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. The outlet report that the Nerazzurri would not consider selling the 22-year-old unless the offer is too high to refuse, whilst Asllani himself has no desire to leave.
In the last few hours, there have been some rumours linking Asllani with Fiorentina.
The Albanian international has been a target for La Viola in the past.
Reportedly, Fiorentina tried to sign Asllani during the final few days of last summer transfer window.
However, the Albanian stayed put, and spent last season at Inter.
In his second campaign with the Nerazzurri, Asllani continued to grow in importance to the team.
The 22-year-old still was hardly a regular starter. It was Hakan Calhanoglu who was firmly the first-choice option in holding midfield all season long.
But Asllani proved to be a more than reliable deputy to the Turk.
Asllani started in important matches when Calhanoglu was injured or suspended. These included Serie A wins over Fiorentina, Lecce, and Atalanta.
No Chance Inter Sell Kristjan Asllani To Fiorentina
As far as Inter are concerned, Asllani is an important part of the squad.
The 22-year-old is growing into a reliable backup option to Calhanoglu. He can fill in when the 30-year-old is out, and also give him a chance to catch his breath.
Asllani can either replace Calhanoglu as a substitute, or even rotate into the starting eleven.
And furthermore, the former Empoli midfielder is still a player with prospects for further growth.
Therefore, Inter would only consider very high offers to sell Asllani this summer.
Meanwhile, Asllani himself would have no desire to leave Inter.
The Albanian international is a lifelong Nerazzurri fan. He is determined to play a role at Inter going forward.
