Nottingham Forest transfer claim emerges as Turkish giants ‘will be in negotiations’

Galatasaray are interested in on-loan Nottingham Forest defender Nuno Tavares and “will be in negotiations”, it is claimed.

Recent reports have claimed that the left-back is “open” to cutting short his loan spell at the City Ground. The Portuguese joined Forest in the summer from Arsenal on deadline day.

However, he is struggling for game time with the Reds and has featured only three times so far. A change of clubs in January is therefore reportedly being considered with Tavares said to be “unhappy”.

And now the 23-year-old is attracting interest from Turkey according to claims in Yeni Safak. It is said that Galatasaray are looking for a new left-back and Tavares could fit the bill.

The full-back has not played since being forced off with injury in Forest’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in September. He was making his first start for the club in that match, having previously made appearances off the bench against Chelsea and Burnley.

Tavares has returned to the Forest squad in recent weeks for games against Bournemouth and Newcastle. However, Harry Toffolo has been in possession of the left-back spot with Ola Aina also featuring regularly.
