SC Internacional want to buy Celtic’s Alexandro Bernabei, after signing him on loan from Brendan Rodgers’s side back in March.
Earlier this month, Internacional president Alessandro Barcellos revealed the negotiations are ongoing with Celtic. Last week, the club’s vice-president, José Olavo Bisol stated the left-back wants to continue with his side.
At the weekend, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Internacional have a priority to buy the 24-year-old until this Tuesday. It was also said Palmeiras are in the picture to buy him from Celtic.
Journalist Vagner Martins, relayed by Revista Colorada, claims the Brazilian club are set to have a positive outcome in this case.
Internacional are in the process of selling Gabriel Carvalho Al-Qadisiyah and this deal will be vital for them to retain the Argentine.
Martins claims Internacional director André Mazzuco was recently in Madrid for Carvalho’s medical and will travel to Glasgow to ‘finalise the agreement’ with Celtic for Bernabei.
The South American club will use the funds from Carvalho’s sale to pay part of the fee to Brendan Rodgers’ side and pay the rest in instalments.
There’s no mention of any figures, while earlier claims have stated the Scottish champions want €5m for the player.
