QPR are among the sides to have shown interest in PSG starlet Ethan Mbappe, as per Le Parisien (via PSG Talk), but he looks set to stay in France.

QPR will be hoping for a fruitful summer transfer window as they bid to kick on under popular Spanish boss Marti Cifuentes in the 2024/25 campaign.

The Rs manager led the West London outfit away from the Championship relegation fight and his impressive work has fans excited over just where he can take them in his first full season.

New signings will be key though as he embarks on his first summer window in charge of the club.

Now, QPR have been mentioned in eye-catching reports from the French capital.

As per Le Parisien (via PSG Talk), the Rs are among the sides to have shown an interest in midfield prospect Ethan Mbappe as he prepares to depart PSG. The 17-year-old, who is the younger brother of superstar Kylian Mbappe, as also been eyed by Borussia Dortmund and Ajax.

However, as per separate reports from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe looks most likely to continue in France with Ligue 1 side Lille LOSC leading the race for his signature.

The rumours of QPR’s interest in departing PSG prospect Mbappe are certainly eye-catching, but it looks as though he’ll be staying at a higher level rather than making a surprise move to Loftus Road.

The Rs have attracted their fair share of promising youngsters over the years, but signing a teenager of his ilk certainly would have been a surprise.

As such, it looks as though he’ll be heading elsewhere. Nevertheless, Cifuentes and co will hopefully have their eyes on some other exciting additions as they plot their summer transfer business.

Players to replace

QPR are yet to confirm their full retained list, so there’s not any clarity over exactly who will be moving on and who will need to be replaced when the transfer window does come around.

Some departures have been announced though, with Albert Adomah due to move on alongside, Jordan Archer, Aaron Drewe and Osma Kakay when their deals expire.

Elsewhere, Asmir Begovic is drawing interest as his deal winds down. Jake Clarke-Salter is under contract, but he has admirers too.

There are loan players returning to their parent clubs who will need to be replaced too. Midfielders Isaac Hayden and Joe Hodge will be back at Newcastle United and Wolves respectively.
