Raheem Sterling’s camp have addressed rumours linking the Chelsea winger with a move to Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

Despite speculation, it has been clarified that there has been no approach to the 29-year-old nor a conversation regarding a move to Turkey.

There is also no interest from Sterling, who is currently on holiday during the summer break ahead of returning for pre-season under Chelsea’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca.

The former Manchester City man endured a subdued season in west London after falling out of Mauricio Pochettino‘s starting XI in the latter half of the Blues’ campaign.

But Sterling nonethless showed that he can still provide moments of magic, making 18 goal contributions across his 43 appearances in all competitions.

Mourinho took over at Fenerbahce to a rapturous reception from the club’s supporters, with the former Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United boss believed to have signed a two-year contract.

It remains to be seen who the Portuguese will target this summer in a bid to turn them into Turkish champions after they missed out on the last title to Galatasaray despite picking up 99 points.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are set for a busy summer of incomings and outgoings, with Maresca having already been involved in discussions surrounding transfers.

They are primarily targeting a left back and a forward, and speculation is rife that they may try to raise funds ahead of the Premier League’s PSR deadline.

One of the players identified as a major sale is 2023-24 stalwart – and captain – Conor Gallagher, with the midfielder’s academy graduate status seeing him represent pure profit for his current club.

Premier League rivals Tottenham and Aston Villa, as well as Atletico Madrid, are believed to be circling the England international in a bid for his signature during the summer’s transfer window.
