Rangers clearout continues as Cyriel Dessers in ‘advanced’ transfer talks with Greek giants

Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers is reportedly closing in on a move to PAOK.
The 29-year-old arrived at Ibrox last summer as one of the key recruits by former boss Michael Beale – but struggled to find top form throughout the campaign despite Philippe Clement keeping the faith in the misfiring frontman. Dessers ended the season with a 23-goal return despite criticism over his performance levels – but it appears that the Nigeria international will move on amid Clement’s overhaul of the Light Blues’ squad.
Nova Sports claim that talks are at an “advanced” stage with Dessers said to be keen on the switch to the Greek champions this summer with a host of key names heading for the Ibrox exit. It is stated the forward is “looking for the next stage of his career” and that the player’s representatives “appear satisfied with the financial offer that has been submitted.”
Dessers is unlikely to be the only face to leave Rangers this summer. Both James Tavernier and Connor Goldson have been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League – while the club are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Todd Cantwell.
