Northern Ireland teenager Mason Munn has signed a bumper long-term contract extension with Rangers. The 18-year-old goalkeeper has put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal which will see him tied to the Ibrox club until 2028.
Munn cemented his place in Rangers’ B side over the past year and was part of Steven Smith’s Under-18 side which surged to victory in the Scottish Youth Cup with a 2-1 triumph over Aberdeen at Hampden Park.
The former Glentoran shot-stopper has also been capped at Under-19 level for Northern Ireland and is set to feature in this summer’s European Championship campaign.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement says Munn knows what it takes to represent the club, having been a boyhood fan.
“We are delighted that Mason has committed his future to Rangers. It is recognition of his development in the Academy in recent years, and, as a boyhood Rangers fan, he is well aware of what it takes to represent this club,” Clement told the club’s website.
