Rangers currently sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership and are on track to qualify for the Champions League next season.

The prestigious European competition is undergoing a format change next season to a Swiss-style model that is expected to increase revenue and guarantee a minimum of four home games for each side.

Rangers could use Champions League money to fund Silva deal

Gers struck a loan deal with Wolves for Silva in January in what was Clement’s first transfer deal as manager.

The 21-year-old forward has scored twice in nine performances during his loan stint and Clement has admitted that he would like to make the deal permanent.

“I would prefer to buy Fabio but he was too expensive for the club so that’s why it’s a loan,” he said.

Silva will likely have a hefty price tag if Wolves decide to sell after the Premier League side spent £35million on his signature in 2020.
