Out of favour Cyriel Dessers looks to be “on his way out” of Rangers.
That is according to Tam McManus amid speculation that an offer from Saint-Etienne is on the cards after the frontman dropped down the pecking order under Philippe Clement. The 30-year-old has been displaced as the first-choice striker under the Belgian since the emergence of Hamza Igamane while Danilo has also put his injury woes behind him and is challenging to lead the line.
Reports in France suggest that Rangers are looking for around £4million to sell this summer although the Ligue 1 side are interested in adding a striker in the January window. And speaking to PLZ, former Hibs hero and Record Sportcolumnist McManus reckons another attacker is a must with Dessers likely to be on the move. He said: “I think they definitely need a striker.
“Igamane’s a work in progress for me. I don’t think he had a great game against Celtic. He was in and out of the game. Dessers, I think he’s on his way out either in January or end of the season.”
Trabzonspor are reportedly keen on Ridvan Yilmaz – but Nils Koppen may be having second thoughts about letting the Turkish international leave the club after his impressive display against Celtic on Thursday. Boss Senol Gunes is said to be keen on a deal for the 23-year-old having worked with him at Beskitas and the Turkish national side.

Fotosporreport that the club are willing to wait until the summer to get their man. It is claimed that the club want to slash their wage budget before making a big-money offer to Yilmaz.
