Sean Dyche shares new Everton injury concern and Dele latest in fitness update

Everton manager Sean Dyche says he will make late fitness calls on midfield pair Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana ahead of their home game against West Ham United on Saturday.

Onana came on as a substitute for Gueye four minutes into the second half of Everton’s 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion last

Saturday but both are injury concern for the visit of former Blues boss David Moyes’ Hammers. Asked about Gueye’s availability, Dyche said:

“He’s still settling down. Amadou has got a groin thing, similar to Gana’s actually, which is just settling down so we’ll make a decision on them tomorrow.

Arnie (Danjuma) is doing well with his ankle but it’s obviously a longer term situation but he’s doing really well. I just spoke to him

actually just before I came in and he’s in a good place with that side of things.

Andre (Gomes) has been back on the grass with us, he’s going well, and Dele’s focus is just getting fit,

nothing other than that. Obviously he’s got a period yet, he’s just focusing on that

Somebody asked me recently and I said we’re trying to just let him get fit. We’re not worried about when he’s available,

we’re saying ‘first things first – get fit’ so that’s all we’re looking for him to do and all he’s looking to do.”
