It seems the saga involving Sunderland and Will Still is back on.
The Black Cats’ interest in the manager is today again reported by the French media, where journalist Ignazio Genuardi has something to say about it.
It’s claimed that even though Still visited Norwich City’s facilities, he could actually end up at Sunderland instead.
The reports says that after giving the manager ‘serious consideration’ some months ago, the Black Cats still show ‘concrete interest’ in him.
Still has just left Stade Reims, who announced his departure by the start of the month. His relationship with the club hadn’t exactly been great since Sunderland came for his signing earlier this year.
His official exit from the club always seemed like a clear path for Sunderland to finally get their target, and now it looks like that plan could turn into action.
The Black Cats did not appoint a substitute for Michael Beale when the Englishman was sacked in February this year, with Mike Dodds keeping the job as an interim manager until the end of the season.
