Swansea City have announced the signing of free agent Cyrus Christie on a deal until the end of the season.
The defender had been training with the Swans for a number of weeks, with manager Luke Williams this week confirming parties had held talks over signing him permanently.
The 32-year-old last played for Hull City but was released by the Humberside club back in the summer. He is, of course, well known to Swansea fans following his successful stint on loan from Fulham two years ago.
Swansea legend Wayne Routledge is Christie’s agent and is said to have helped to broker the deal and in doing so has bolstered Williams’s options across the back line.
“Cyrus has been great,” Williams said this week. “Everyone who knows him before is really fond of him.”
