Not for the first time, many Swans fans will have likely been disappointed by how it all panned out.

The club did land Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien on loan but saw efforts to land Jacob Wright and Bobby Clark fall through at the eleventh hour. Sign up for our Swansea City newsletter here.

The club had a bid of around £750,000 for Ethan Galbraith, who batted away as they sought to land alternative targets, but O’Brien would ultimately end up being the only capture of the day.

It means Swansea have brought just two players in during this window, with Hannes Delcroix arriving on loan from Burnley. The club did also strike a move for Swedish midfielder Melker Widell, but he’s been shipped back out on loan to current side Aalborg as part of a deal taking him to South Wales.

Here is a full list of ins and outs from the summer transfer window.
