The Los Angeles Clippers edged out the Golden State Warriors 113-112 as Paul George’s step back three pointer swung the game with nine seconds remaining at Crypto.com Arena.
The Clippers hadn’t led at all during the game until that point, and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as George proclaimed himself the hero.
George led his side with 25 points, six rebounds and six assists, while James Harden and Kawhi Leonard,
who the match-winner gleefully embraced at the final buzzer, registered 21 and 20 respectively.

Looking down and out in the final quarter, Tyronn Lue’s side managed to overcome an improbable 22-point deficit against a depleted
Warriors who were missing the injured Andrew Wiggins, Chris Paul and Gary Payton II.
The visiting side led 70-48 with 11:45 left in the third quarter, but a swing in momentum
saw the Clippers find their rhythm when it mattered, outscoring their opponents 65-42 for the rest of the game.
Draymond Green was on hot form in the first quarter, netting four
three-pointers, but his efforts were not enough to prevent the narrowest of defeats for the Warriors.
The Clippers had endured a torrid run of form since trading
for Harden back in October, but they evaded a second straight defeat after being dealt a blow in San Francisco on Thursday.
Elsewhere, the Boston Celtics consolidated their place at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 125-119 win over the Philadelphia 76ers,
while the Milwaukee Bucks kept in touching distance with the pacesetters after their 132-121 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
The LA Lakers recorded a strong 107-97 victory over Houston
Rockets as LeBron James hit 16 points, but Anthony Davis led the way with 27, 14 rebounds and three assists.
The San Antonio Spurs, without their prodigy Victor Wembanyama, fell to defeat against
the New Orleans Pelicans 121-106, with Jonas Valančiūnas
registering 24 points for his side, who now sit eighth in the Western Conference, with the Spurs rock bottom.
