According to Woods. “A lot of different things are happening very quickly because we know, you know, today is December 1st.” We’re not going to have a lot of time.”

Woods, who was unaware of the framework agreement at the time of the announcement in June,
has subsequently become a player director on the PGA Tour’s Policy Board. Meanwhile,
Rory McIlroy stepped down from the PGA Tour and was recently replaced by Jordan Spieth.
Spieth, who is tied for first at Albany Golf Club, admitted that losing Rahm to LIV would be a significant blow to the PGA Tour.

According to Reuters

Tiger Woods says he would be”hypothetically” astonished if rumors of numerous big-name
players signing with LIV Golf were true.
Jon Rahm, the reigning Masters winner and world’s third-ranked player, is reportedly considering a $600 million contract with the Saudi-backed league.
Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele of the United States are two additional names linked to LIV speculation.
Woods was asked if the rumors surprised him without naming any specific players.
“Would it surprise me in theory?” Yes, but there have been so many different
things happen in the last 48 hours, but also in the last several weeks,
” Woods said after his second round at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. “Things have changed and will continue to change.”
The PGA Tour’s commissioner, Jay Monahan, stated earlier this week that a December 31 deadline
to finalize an agreement with the Public Investment Fund – LIV Golf’s funder – and the DP World Tour remains “a firm target.”
“Our deadline’s coming up here soon, so there’s a lot of moving parts,” Woods told reporters.

“I’m not sure specifically how it would impact those negotiations, but all in all, Jon Rahm is one of the biggest assets that we have on the PGA Tour,” the golfer added.
“So it would be really — really bad for us in general because we want to play against the best players in the world, and Jon is one of them.”
“I’m aware that several guys have
approached him. I know he’s thinking about something, but I’m not sure what.
I honestly don’t know, so I don’t want to insult him by saying he’s deliberating
whether he’s not or is. That, you know, is partly beyond my control.
“Obviously, I could speak probably on behalf of 200-plus PGA Tour players in saying
that we really hope that he’s continuing with us.”
Scottie Scheffler stated this week that he is “extremely grateful” for Woods’
participation, as the world’s No. 1 is in the Bahamas competing in his first stroke
play event since the Tour Championship.
Rahm, Cantlay, and Schauffele, on the other hand, are conspicuously absent. Rahm has not committed to this year’s event, while Cantlay and Schauffele withdrew last month, fueling rumors that they will join LIV.
Rahm also just dropped out of the TGL, which is funded by Woods and McIlroy,
citing time constraints, though the league has subsequently delayed its debut until 2025 after the roof of its facility collapsed and caused damage.
Cantlay and Schauffele are two of the league’s elite players who have committed.
While accepting the rumors, Woods dodged a second question about whether he’d be surprised if other high-profile players defected to LIV.
“Nothing has really surprised me other than the fact that there’s so many different things that have happened so fast,” he told reporters. “That’s one of the things that all of our — all of us as player-directors we’ve been working on, just that everything is now at a time crunch.”
“It’s 24 hours a day just trying to figure it out.”
