Aston Villa duo Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans could both return to action against Everton on Sunday.
Torres picked up an ankle injury in Villa’s win over Brentford last month and returned in the win over Burnley two weeks ago, but aggravated his injury.
He is now fit to play against Everton after training at Bodymoor Heath this week, while Tielemans has also returned to training after missing the club’s last six games in all competitions.
Lucas Digne also returned to training earlier this week after suffering a hamstring injury on Boxing Day, but he won’t be ready to feature against his former club at Goodison Park.

Bertrand Traore is representing Burkina Faso at AFCON, while Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings are both long-term absentees.
“Pau Torres is training with the group and Youri Tielemans started this week, progressively getting better,” Unai Emery confirmed. “If everything goes well then both could be in the squad with the possibility of playing.
“We are going to analyse them individually too for what is the best decision for them.
Lucas Digne is not available for Sunday. Robin Olsen is coming back, he trained yesterday and today with us.”

A win over Everton this weekend will see Villa move to joint-top of the Premier League table with Liverpool.
Since their return to the Premier League in 2019, Villa are unbeaten in their nine league games against Everton, keeping six clean sheets and winning the past five in a row.
