Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano is currently the leading candidate to replace Thiago Motta at Champions League-bound Bologna.
The Rossoblu have already announced that Motta will leave at the end of the season and he didn’t want to renew his contract at the club, as he seems set to join Juventus at the end of the campaign.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported about the potential replacements for Motta and it is stated that the list of potential replacements is rather long, but at the very top is Italiano, who seems set to depart Fiorentina at the end of the current campaign.
The similarity in playing style is a key reason for why Italiano is high up in the shortlist, but he is also being looked at by Napoli. Other potential names on Bologna’s shortlist are Raffaele Palladino and Eusebio di Francesco, but the final decision will be made when the season ends.
