What’s happening with Clinton N’Jie after the injury | Rapid made the announcement

Clinton N’Jie’s injury is not serious, although it was initially announced that he would be out for a few weeks. The Cameroonian striker is in the process of recovering and could be on the field next week, as announced by the Giulescu team on the club’s official website.

“Clinton has resumed training after the injury in the last match, so there is a good chance that our striker will return to the field next week ,” reads the announcement made by Rapid on its official Facebook page .

Clinton N’Jie would only miss the Liga 1 duel with Gloria Buzău, scheduled to take place on Monday, at 8:00 p.m. Afterwards, Rapid will meet CFR Cluj, in the last group stage of the Romanian Cup, in the middle of next week.

The Cameroonian could thus be fit for both the match against Cluj and the derby with Dinamo. The confrontation with the “dogs” will be played on December 22, in the last round of 2024.

Clinton N’Jie was transferred by Rapid in September, at the insistence of Marius Şumudică. The 31-year-old striker played in seven games for the Giulesti team, in all competitions, managing to score only one goal.

Who is the first footballer to leave Rapid in the winter?

Luka Gojkovic, the first acquisition of the Giulăști team this summer, could also be the first to leave the white-cherry team this winter.

Several teams in Liga 1 are reportedly interested in the services of the 25-year-old Serbian, including Gloria Buzău, a team that Rapid will face in the next round.

Since Marius Şumudică’s installation on Rapid’s technical bench, Luka Gojkovic has received few minutes, if any. More precisely, the midfielder was introduced from the reserve position in only three matches: 0-2 with FC Botoșani, 2-0 with FC Botoșani in the Romanian Cup and 1-0 with Hermannstadt. Moreover, since November 4th until now, the footballer has not been used at all.
