Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly monitoring Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic as they seek to strengthen their attacking ranks this summer.
Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira wants to add a second option to compete with and rotate in for Jorgen Strand Larsen. The Old Gold have been linked with the likes of Tammy Abraham and Yuri Alberto, but they could turn to the Championship instead.
South London-based journalist Richard Cawley reports Wolves have been keeping close tabs on Millwall’s Ivanovic. The 20-year-old, who joined the Lions from Serbian side FK Vojvodina Novi Sad last summer, scored 12 goals in 37 Championship appearances last campaign.
Ivanovic is a promising young forward who has a strong defensive work ethic. The Serbia under-21 international, who stands at six feet and three inches, likes to use his physicality and terrific first touch to hold the ball up and wait for fellow forwards. He’s also quite clearly got a decent eye for goal, too, given his tally of 12 in the English second tier.
It remains to be seen if Millwall would be willing to let Ivanovic leave this summer, but what is for sure is that the Lions aren’t under any real pressure to sell him, as he signed a long-term contract only last summer. The Serbian’s market value, as per Transfermarkt, is currently around €4 million (£3.4m).
Wolves eye Rayan Ait-Nouri replacement
In other transfer news, Wanderers are reportedly eyeing another promising youngster to fill a key position. Molineux News reports the Old Gold are interested in signing Brondby left-back Clement Bischoff as a replacement for Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign Ait-Nouri, and Wolves will need to bring in a suitable successor. Bischoff, who was heavily linked with Brighton & Hove Albion during the winter transfer window, has enjoyed a superb breakthrough season at Brondby, making 40 senior appearances across all competitions through 2024/25.
Bischoff, just like Ait-Nouri, is an attacking left-back who could fit superbly into Pereira’s back-three system. The 19-year-old is so forward-minded that he can also play as an attacking midfielder, a left winger, a right winger, or a center forward if required.
The two-time Denmark international, the definition of versatile, contributed two goals and 10 assists in his 40 matches last term. Wolves would love to tap into that output and hope Bischoff will be available to sign this summer.
It awaits to be seen how much Brondby would demand to sell Bischoff, but Brighton agreed to a £7 million deal back in February before seeing it fall through. Bischoff was left frustrated by the failed move and has reiterated his desire to move abroad in the near future.
