The off-season is a time during which fans can get carried away with themselves and over-excited about potential signings and rumours, however Leeds Rhinos fans are seemingly convinced that they’ve signed winger Lee Kershaw.

Kershaw has been a hot topic of late with the Headingley club among the names who have been interested in the Wakefield Trinity winger.
Serious About Rugby League made the initial reports that Kershaw was on the radar of the Rhinos, reporting in early November that the Rhinos were interested in the wingers availability.
Back in early November it was also confirmed by new Wakefield Trinity boss Daryl Powell that the club remained “in discussions” with Kershaw, yet over three weeks later the sage rumbles on with no clear resolution.
At the time, Powell told BBC Radio Leeds: “Lee Kershaw, we’re still in discussions internally about where we go with that one. I think Tom Lineham has been announced that he’s leaving but Lee we’re still discussing.”
Discussions could well have ended now given that Rhinos fans are convinced that they have spotted the winger in an image posted to the club’s social media
Earlier today the Rhinos posted on X, formerly Twitter, three images showcasing the pre-season training regime of the squad in the cold and muddy conditions.
Leeds were eager to highlight that club legend Jamie Jones-Buchanan was involved in the session described as a “Saturday Struggle”, however Rhinos fans were far more interested in the new face at the opposite end of the image.
In response to the post that shared three images, two of which seem to show a man who closely resembles Kershaw with his distinctive bald head, fans were adamant that meant that they had finally managed to sign their man.
One response said: “Is that Kershaw i see ?”
One Wakefield Trinity fan shared the post stating: “Think that settles the whole Lee Kershaw situation then.”
Another fan poked fun at the social media error: “Underwhelming way to announce a signing”
Kershaw was one of the standout performers for a Trinity side that suffered relegation in 2023 with the winger recording seven tries in seventeen games.
During his career at Belle Vue he has brought up 50 appearances but it would certainly appear that his time with the club is done judging by the images on Leeds’ social media.
Trinity have also made multiple signings on the wing for the upcoming season including Super League legend Jermaine McGillvary and back-to-back top try scorer in the Championship Lachlan Walmsley.
