Liverpool academy product Sheyi Ojo is likely to be depart Cardiff City this summer.
The 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup winner with England’s Young Lions has approximately six weeks left on his contract with the Bluebirds and there is no indication he has been offered a new deal.
The Championship outfit are set to name Ojo on the list of players released following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, as things currently stand.
Ojo returned for a second spell at the Welsh club in July 2022, signing a two-year contract, following his release by Premier League giants Liverpool, where he spent eleven years.
The winger is departing Cardiff City after making a total of 82 appearances across two spells, registering seven goals while producing seven assists.
He was loaned out to Belgian Pro League club K.V. Kortrijk for the entirety of the 2023-2024 campaign.
During his time with Liverpool, he took in loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims, Rangers, Cardiff City and Millwall between 2015 and 2022.
Ojo was considered a great talent at the Reds, with manager Jurgen Klopp handing him game time in thirteen matches and he delivered by directly participating in five goals.
Cardiff City will also make a decision on the future of Nigeria international Jamilu Collins, whose contract expires at the end of next month.
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Kion Etete has a year left on his Cardiff City contract and is set to be retained for the 2024-2025 season.
