Wolves transfer round-up – Mario Lemina replacement eyed, Kevin Danso twist and more

There are only five days left of the January transfer window, and Wolves will need to get a move on to complete their business.

Despite all the rumours circulating Molineux, Emmanuel Agbadou remains Wolves’ only signing of the window so far, with the 27-year-old making the switch from Reims.

It’s become clear that for the Old Gold to survive in the Premier League, they’ll need more than just a centre-back, and Vitor Pereira wants three more signings.

Time is ticking to complete business, and the Wolves hierarchy will need to get a move on to finalize transfers, with pressure piling on the ownership once more.

So, with that said, here is the latest Wolves transfer news.

Wolves transfer plan now revealed

Molineux News exclusively revealed on Wednesday that Wolves want to strengthen three positions before transfer deadline day.

Sources have confirmed that Wolves want to sign a forward, as well as a midfielder and a defender, putting pressure on those above to support Pereira.

It is said the Old Gold are prioritising moves for a defender and midfielder first, and that could be followed by an attacking signing, although two of those are expected to be loans rather than purchases.

Wolves have held talks with Dynamo Kyiv’s Volodymyr Brazhko

The midfielder Wolves have held talks with is Volodymyr Brazhko. The Dynamo Kyiv star is an unknown quantity among many in England, but the 23-year-old boasts European pedigree.

This season, Kyiv have been competing in the Europa League, and although they’re currently bottom after seven matches, Brazhko has played six times and assisted once.

At this stage, it remains unclear how much the Ukraine international would cost the Wolves; however, it appears Pereira wants to sign a defensive-minded number six.

Rennes confident they’ll seal Kevin Danso transfer

Stories regarding Kevin Danso’s future have dominated the headlines, and Wolves have been heavily involved in rumours with the RC Lens defender.

Wolves have already seen two bids rejected for Danso, one of which was around £18.5 million, and now other clubs are confident of stealing a march in the race.

It was reported on Wednesday that Ligue 1 side Rennes were pushing for Danso in a’serious manner’, posing a threat to Pereira’s chances of signing.

Now, Rennes is confident of beating Wolves in the race to sign Danso, with neither club yet to meet his £25 million valuation.

Mario Lemina is ‘counting down the days’ to leave Wolves

An update on Mario Lemina’s future has featured once more, with the 31-year-old destined to depart before the deadline.

Lemina has been linked with Torino this week, and the Italian side has become the latest club to show interest after Al Shabab and Galatasaray.

However, it appears the midfielder’s preferred destination is a return to Turkey, according to reports, with Lemina ‘counting down the days’ till he leaves Wolves.

Many supporters will also be doing the same given his disgraceful actions in the past few weeks.
