Farhad Moshiri ‘goes AWOL’ as takeover deal in ‘final stages’ – Kieran Maguire

Everton chairman Farhad Moshiri has “gone AWOL” as the 777 Partners takeover deal reaches the “final stages”.

 

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that it is “absolutely essential” for fans that the takeover deal is completed soon.

 

The £500million takeover deal for 777 Partners to buy a majority stake in Everton

 

appears to be nearing a final decision after the Premier League suggested they would approve the agreement if certain conditions are met.

 

It is understood that the repayment of MSP Sports Capital’s £158million loan is one of the takeover conditions that must be met.

 

As revealed by Football Insider, 777 Partners have explored ’emergency’ loan options in order to repay the loan and complete their Everton takeover deal.

Maguire believes the Everton takeover saga is approaching the “final stages”

 

but believes Moshiri is playing no part in progression as he has gone “AWOL”.

 

You hope that we are now reaching the final stages of the takeover and that there is light at the end of the tunnel,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

 

“For the people that are working there and those who support the club, it is absolutely essential.

 

Due to the complacency and arrogance of senior management there is more and more uncertainty around Everton.

 

 

Farhad Moshiri has effectively gone AWOL.

 

“He is not prepared to take responsibility and he is not prepared to communicate with fans.“
