Nottingham Forest predicted eleven vs Manchester United… 3 changes as Nuno rests 26-year-old

Published

on

Nottingham Forest face Manchester United in the FA Cup tonight and we’ve had a look at a predicted eleven that Nuno Espirito Santo could deploy.

The Reds have beat Blackpool and Bristol City to get this far and a win tonight will see Forest make the quarter-final.

So, how exactly will Espirito Santo line his Forest team up tonight at the City Ground? Let’s take a closer look…

Predicted Nottingham Forest eleven to play Manchester United

Well, it will be interesting to see how Forest will line up tonight with the eleven that is picked likely to be a very strong one.

Espirito Santo takes the FA Cup very seriously and he will be keen for Forest to bounce back after Saturday’s defeat to Aston Villa.

The Forest rearguard

There are some questions to be asked here after Forest shipped four on Saturday at Villa Park.

In goal, we fully expect Matz Sels to continue, with Matt Turner to remain on the bench.

At the back, we anticipate some changes, however, with Moussa Niakhate returning to central defence to parter Murillo.

At full-back, we think Gonzalo Montiel and Harry Toffolo will both get their chance to shine.

Danilo and Nicolas Dominguez played on Saturday and it’s fair to say that it didn’t really work against Aston Villa.

However, the week previous it worked wonders in the game against West Ham.

With Forest being at home tonight, we think Espirito Santo will persist with this dynamic tonight.

Leading the Forest line

It’d be easy for the Forest head coach to hand the likes of Giovanni Reyna and Rodrigo Ribeiro a chance tonight – but we don’t think he will.

We believe that one change will come leading the line with Divock Origi coming in for Taiwo Awoniyi who Forest may choose to rest.

Behind him, however, expect more of the same with Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi all set to start.

Here is how tonight’s Forest eleven could look…
