Nottingham Forest maintain an interest in Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher ahead of the summer transfer window.

This news comes from the Daily Mail.

So, what has been said about the Forest interest in Liverpool star Kelleher? Let’s take a closer look…

Nottingham Forest want Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool

Well, it would appear as though a goalkeeper is still high on the list of priorities during the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Forest maintain an interest in Kelleher and could move for him again if they remain in the Premier League.

He was installed as the club’s number-one target during the January window – but Liverpool wouldn’t budge and were determined to keep him.

The Anfield giants are keen to get around £25 million for his services but could consider a sale in the summer.

Right now, Kelleher is the number one with Alisson Becker going to be out until after the international break.

Forest signed Matz Sels from Strasbourg in January and he will be the number one goalkeeper for the remainder of this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo is a huge fan of Kelleher, however, according to the reports and he’d love to bring him to Forest.

Kelleher would be quality City Ground signing

The 25-year-old will be craving regular football and a move away from Liverpool looks likely during the summer transfer window.

Kelleher has been in good form for Liverpool during his latest run in the team.

He was instrumental during Sunday’s win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final and made nine saves, according to Who Scored.

Forest’s goalkeeping department still needs some reinforcing – and frankly this season the whole situation has been a shambles.

Kelleher could come in and play as the number one at Forest for many years and that would surely appeal to the player.

Firstly, Forest need to make sure that they remain in the Premier League and only then can they make another attempt to sign Kelleher.
